Life (so far) with a Baby

It's not even been two weeks with the little man and already I want to hit pause and savor his tiny-ness.

Time goes by so fast. And yet, somehow it also goes so incredibly slow at 3 in the morning when Mr. Elliot decides he's hungry but finds it more worth his time to cry than actually try to eat.

Those are the hard moments of motherhood. But they end with moments like this and every sleepless minute is forgotten.

Little man has already had some big adventures, to include his first week birthday party at Crumbs bakery in Hoboken.

Pretty sure the cupcake was as big as his head.

Cupcakes were followed by his first slice of pizza at Benny Tudino's, home of New Jersey's largest slice, also in Hoboken.

It was also his first modeling gig as he will be proudly displayed on the oven amongst other babies sized up next to giant pizza slices.

Eli enjoyed his first soccer game where he cheered on Dad mostly slept.

And he got his first dose of history with an outing to Ellis Island

and the Statue of Liberty with Nonny and Grampy.

But his most important trip of all?

This mama introduced her boy to the wonderful world of Target. I had to get him there so he could experience the greatest store on earth before his daddy tries to convince him that he doesn't need Tar-jay in his life.

Luis isn't such a fan of Target. He says they take all his money. I of course, have no idea what he's talking about. I never spend any money at Target...

Yeah, I'm not fooling anyone with that one. Even my 13 day old baby knows that's a load of crap.

Time for bed for this tired family. Praying for 4 solid hours tonight, wish us luck!

Motherhood looks good on ya! The little chap is BEAUTIFUL. The nights of endless feedings pass; they already seem so far away for us. I don't know if you saw my post on "for now," but you pretty much can add that to any sentence about babyness/motherhood for some this too shall pass perspective and a reminder to savor it as you mention here. I hope all the growing and stretching into MOM is treating you well.

You have captured the first few days of motherhood beautifully. Your world will never be the same now that Eli is here. I love the pictures. Remind me to show you your mom's birth picture sometime, her hands are placed similar to Eli's in one of your pictures of him.

Congrats you guys! He is so absolutely perfect! That teeny newborn phase when they are fresh from heaven is like nothing else. Hopefully he will start sleeping long stretches for you. No sleep is so hard! The cupcake and pizza pictures...are awesome. Those will be a lifelong treasure I'm sure.
