Celebrate!

Today I am rejoicing.

Today, there aren't any words that can even come close to capturing this overwhelming feeling of joy in my heart.

Today I am praising Jesus for the awesome work He does in our lives!

Today I am so full of gratitude, of appreciation, of love for the life of my Daddy.

My Dad who I'm sure cannot wait until the day that a piece of Reese's Peanut Butter Cheesecake (such as the one he enjoyed above on a coffee date with Riss and I back in August) and other such treats taste heavenly again!

Today is Dad's last day of radiation. It has been a very long, difficult journey that has left him 30 pounds lighter and at moments, more miserable and in more pain than he probably ever thought was possible in life.

And yet through it all God has sustained him. He has transformed his heart and mind. Deepened his faith. Grown his understanding of God's love for him. Allowed him to experience His goodness, His mercy, His grace, His power and strength.

And the body of Christ and people all over the world, have poured out unbelievable amounts of prayer, love and words of encouragement on him that have lifted his spirits and kept him encouraged when his reserves were low.

Thank you to each and every one of you, from the body of my heart, who has prayed for him, loved on him, encouraged him throughout this trial.

Thank you to my Mom and sister who walked with him each step of the way, day in and day out. To all my grandparents who all took time to come out and take care of him at some point during his treatment. And to all the other people who took turns driving him to and from Tucson.

And most of all, thank you to my Lord and Savior for bringing him through it all!

A very happy, wonderful, joyful, amazing Friday to you. Whatever your circumstances, find some way to celebrate the precious gift of life today!

Yay! Grateful that God sustained him throughout this trial and all his treatments. Your family's faith is one of the greatest testimonies of God's continued love, mercy, and grace. Thank you for the sharing updates throughout the process. I will continue to keep your father and your family in my prayers. God Bless!

When first the bad report I heard,
I could hardly say a word.

And many who hold Randy dear
did shed much more than just one tear.

He choose to put life in God's hands,
received love & prayers from all his friends.

No matter how much pain or grief -
he still kept to his firm belief.

Much hurting he had to endure,
but then the Lord provided cure.

So praise the Lord and praise the day
And pray that his good health will stay.

For many deeds in the Lord's name
he's gonna do and add to His fame.
